As every website owner knows, keyword density is important to ranking in Google. There is such thing as too much or too little, however, and for the best results, you want something right down the middle.

What exactly is the optimal keyword density? Experts agree that anything between 1-3% is perfect, so that should be your aim. Finding a way to incorporate your keywords into your content 2 or 3 times every 100 words, however, can be a challenge, particularly if you have long tail keyword phrases.

As a writer, I´m frequently asked to incorporate keyword into documents and there are often several, not just one. A good writer should have the experience necessary to work keywords and phrases naturally into an article or blog post, without it coming up spammy. The trick is often to look at the keyword phrase in a different way.

For example, if the phrase to be included is “real estate in Chicago”, you can use it as is or split it with punctuation as in the following example.

These days, many investors are considering purchasing real estate. In Chicago, prices are falling and it has truly become a buyer’s market.

As you can see, once you are familiar with this type of writing, it isn´t that difficult to incorporate the keywords as needed. The best freelance writers should be able to turn out great articles with the optimal keyword density, no matter what keywords you are using.
